ReplyDeleteMitch, what has happened to Illinois? I mean, I don't know how many times I've heard about Illinois being in the Rose Bowl just two years ago. Nobody has any idea why a team so talented is so awful. If they want to even think about a bowl game they have to win out. Think the Fightin Zooks can do it?
ReplyDeleteBig win for the Hawks, but no time to relax with a trip to East Lansing up next. Which also leads me to answer the question you posted on my blog, I think anyone who doesn't pick the Spartans to win the Big Ten in hoops in this year is crazy. They have so much talent returning from a team that went to the national title game. And everything I've read, that loss has made the team even hungrier to win it all this year. Plus, Izzo just knows how to win, period. Keep dominating Rittenberg on your picks!
ReplyDeleteThere is 0% chance the Illness make it to a bowl. I don't want to say the whole Rose Bowl thing was a fluke, but it kinda seems that way. Plus the loss of guys like Rashard Mendenhall and J Lehman hurt the Illini, they led that Rose Bowl team.
